4 Cardinals to watch vs. Buccaneers

Who are the Cardinals players to watch?

The Arizona Cardinals are set to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday afternoon.

They appear to mostly be healthy, as defensive tackle Olsen Pierre is the only player ruled out for the game.

Who are the Cardinals players to watch?

Here are four:

Adrian Peterson

He is the player all will watch. He was unhappy with his role with the New Orleans Saints. The Cardinals badly need a boost to the running game. The offensive line appears to finally be healthy. Peterson will have his chance to be a featured back again. Arizona needs answers in the running game. They hope Peterson is the answer, at least until David Johnson can return.

John Brown

John Brown has played the last couple of weeks, but has not been completely healthy. He appears to be pretty close, as he practiced on Friday fully for the first time in three weeks. If he is healthy, he can be a game-changer for the offense. The question is whether he can make those plays to open the offense up.

D.J. Humphries

The Cardinals got less than a quarter out of their left tackle this season. He finally returns to the lineup. When the season began, he was one of the biggest questions on the team. Was he ready to be the staple at left tackle, anchoring the offensive line? So far, between last season and this season, he has been hurt more than he has been healthy since moving to the left side.

Deone Bucannon

Bucannon has two games under his belt since returning from ankle surgery. He has been on the field, but he has not been impactful. In fact, he was victimized a couple of times in coverage against the Philadelphia Eagles. He played every snap last week. He should have all the rust knocked off by now. Ideally, he will be back to form this weekend. The Cardinals need it on defense.
