Coach Todd Graham's littlest fan attends ASU practice

He's got another extra special invite coming his way this bowl season, too.

TEMPE, Ariz. - It was practice as usual this morning at ASU, until an all-star showed up.

“What’s up, stud? You doing alright?” asked head coach Todd Graham.

Graham immediately ran up to his littlest fan, Parker Carter.

Parker is the little boy that cried when he found out Graham was fired from ASU Sunday.

The video caught the attention of Graham and since then, Parker has been his right-hand man. He's been invited to Graham's office and now, practice.

“I like your hat, man. You’re looking good,” Graham said.

Parker’s mom, Randa, said Graham told them the video of Parker crying is when the firing hit him the hardest.

“He and his wife and son had an OK day and then they got home and saw the video and they all started crying, which touched my heart,” said Randa Carter.

Parker was in pure shock seeing all of the action up close and personal. He took it all in, though, because he actually wants to play for ASU one day.

“He’s like, 'Mom, you think I can do that? You think I can do that?'” Randa said.

From the sound of it this morning, he might get that shot at the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas.

“You come to El Paso with me and you can run out of the tunnel, all right?” Graham said to Parker.

He will need an official jersey though.

Graham asked Parker what number he wanted to wear. Parker said he wants to wear No. 11, which is retired, but Graham said he'd make it happen.

For Parker, Graham has made a lot happen.

“I hope he realizes that he’s made an impact on not just Parker’s life but on other people’s too," said Parker's mom.

The Sun Bowl is Friday, Dec. 29.
