Scottsdale police looking for armed bank robbery suspect

Police said he passed a note to the teller indicating that he had a weapon and demanded money.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Scottsdale police department needs your help identifying an armed robbery suspect.

On Thursday, Feb. 15, at 4:30 p.m., a man entered the FirstBank on Indian School and Miller roads, according to police.

Police said he passed a note to the teller indicating that he had a weapon and demanded money.

The teller handed the suspect a determined amount of cash, and the suspect fled the area on a bicycle, police said.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall white man, 200 pounds with a scruffy, thin beard and thinning dark hair in a small ponytail.

He was last seen wearing a red or burgundy baggy sweat shirt, baggy gray sweat pants and dark sunglasses.
