PHOENIX - The Arizona State Fair announced Friday in a Facebook post that Marilyn Manson has canceled his show at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum after an onstage accident a couple of weeks ago in New York City.

The 48-year-old singer was performing a cover of Eurythmic’s song “Sweet Dreams” when he attempted to climb a podium, which tipped over and fell on him. The singer's band continued playing for several minutes before the stage lights came on and the venue announced that the show was over “due to injury.”

Manson canceled nine tour dates after the accident.

His state fair appearance was scheduled for Oct. 26.
