Here are the holiday events around Flagstaff in 2017

Week of Wishes North Pole experience

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - As the month of December begins, the holiday season is rapidly approaching.

There are numerous events in the Flagstaff for students, families, and everyone in between to enjoy the holiday season.

Nov. 17 - Dec. 28: The North Pole Experience is taking place at the Little America Hotel in Flagstaff. This event takes families on a trolley ride to Santa's workshop and Elf University, where the children get to help make toys and learn how to be an elf. Daytime tickets (8:30-3:30) are $45 for adults, $39 for children, and evening tickets (4:00-8:30), are $55 for adults, $49 for children.  

Nov. 28 - Dec. 19: The Holiday Film series is hosted by the Orpheum every Saturday. The movies include Christmas favorites such as Elf and Home Alone, and admission is free. They start at 10 a.m., and include hot cocoa, holiday treats, and photos with Santa. 

Dec. 1: Winterfest on North Quad is taking place at Northern Arizona University. It starts at 6pm with a Luminaria lighting, and also includes a tree lighting, pictures with Louie Santa, and a showing of the Grinch at 7pm. Additionally, NAU students can enjoy free ice skating and cookie decorating. 

Dec. 2: Winter Wonderland and Tree Lighting takes place in Downtown Flagstaff. Tree lighting is at 5:30 p.m., and pictures with Santa are from 6-8 p.m., along with free cocoa, smores, and caroling. 

Dec. 9:  Breakfast with Santa is at the Weatherford Hotel in Flagstaff. Included in the $15 admission is buffet style breakfast and pictures with Santa from 9-11 a.m.

Dec. 9: The Snowflake Festival is at the Flagstaff Visitors Center 1-4 p.m. Free admission includes photos with Santa, holiday games, and the skating rink. 

Dec. 9: The Winter Festival and Art Market is at Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy. Free admission includes the festival, which has caroling, craftmaking, and a photobooth, as well as the Art Market, which includes local and student artists selling handmade gifts. 

Dec. 12: Luminaria Stroll is taking place in Downtown Flagstaff. Downtown will be lit up with luminarias from 5-8 p.m. for the public to walk around and enjoy.
