Hottest day ever: 122° — and other 'cool' Phoenix-is-really-hot facts

It's officially that time of year where (nearly) every conversation in the Valley will begin with "it's hot" or some kind of reference to the heat.

It's officially that time of year where (nearly) every conversation in the Valley will begin with "it's hot" or some kind of reference to the heat.

With 110+ in the forecast, Phoenix has several chances to break records right off the bat for summer.

Even worse, that dreaded 120 degrees has made its first appearance on the 7-day forecast.

If June 20 hits that 120-degree mark, it would not only smash the record high, but it would go down as one of the hottest days ever in Phoenix.
