We have a potent storm system knocking on our door today. It will bring us a 20-degree temperature drop, wind gusts up to 45 mph in the High Country along with accumulating snow for the High Country and isolated rain showers for the Valley.
Wind advisories and winter weather advisories are already posted for the High Country, 2-4 inches of snow is likely around Flagstaff with locally up to 6 inches above 6,000 feet. In addition to windy conditions blowing snow could create poor visibility on area roadways.
In the Valley, we're looking at a 20 percent chance for a passing shower.
By Sunday morning, lows will drop into the 30s and it will be essential to protect any tender vegetation that you may have outside. Temperatures moderate again next week.
