Thank you for visiting 12news.com for your weekend traffic report. Here’s what you need to know for the Labor Day holiday weekend, September 1st-4th, 2017. Commuters will not have to deal with any freeway closures, but will see speed changes on a part of the I-17 this weekend.
Freeway closures and construction are on hold due to holiday travel.
If you plan on celebrating with an alcoholic beverage this holiday please find a designated driver or use another form of transportation while drinking. Law-enforcement agencies will be out in full-force with DUI patrols over Labor Day weekend.
Commuters will notice speed changes this weekend on a stretch of the I-17 to reduce crashes and delays resulting from speeding and driver inattention. I-17 northbound speed limits are reduced by 10 miles between New River and the Sunset Point Rest Area on Friday and southbound on the same stretch of I-17 on Monday.
Thank you for stopping by and have a fun and safe weekend!
