MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. - A minivan full of people rolled over and hit an Arizona Department of Public Safety vehicle on I-40 near the Nevada border Friday afternoon, according to DPS.

Three of the 12 people who were in the van were flown to a Las Vegas trauma center, and the rest of the occupants were taken to a nearby hospital.

Most of their injuries are minor, according to DPS, but one has a life-threatening injury.

The DPS vehicle was in a median crossover monitoring westbound traffic when the minivan driver, headed west, lost control.

The trooper inside the vehicle was not injured.

DPS is still investigating.
