Phoenix's Matt Antoine will represent USA in PyeongChang Winter Olympics

Antoine will be joined in South Korea by fellow Arizonans Elana Meyers Taylor (women's bobsled) and Broc Little (men's hockey).

Just more than three weeks away from the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, one Arizonan got some exciting news about his own road to South Korea.

Phoenix's own Matt Antoine will represent the United States in the high-speed sport of skeleton.

The U.S. Olympic Team and Antoine announced the news on Twitter Monday morning.

12 News sat down with Antoine earlier this January to learn more about the athlete who took home bronze at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

Antoine will be joined in South Korea by fellow Arizonans Elana Meyers Taylor (women's bobsled) and Broc Little (men's hockey).

Taylor has trained in Arizona for years. She brought home the bronze medal in Vancouver 2010 and silver in Sochi 2014.

Little was born in Phoenix and is currently tied for second place in points scored in the Switzerland National League.
