Servicemembers and their families received a special treat Wednesday courtesy of Kristin Chenoweth and the Arizona Cardinals.
Chenoweth, known for her work as a film and Broadway actress, performed at a free concert Wednesday at Luke Air Force Base.
The concert, which also featured Cardinals alumni, cheerleaders, mascot Big Red and Challenger the Bald Eagle from the American Eagle foundation, began at 6:30 p.m. at Fowler Park.
Chenoweth is also slated to sing the national anthem at Thursday's Cardinals game against the Seattle Seahawks, which will air on 12 News.
The singer and actress Won Best Featured Actress in a Musical at the 1999 Tony Awards for playing Sally Brown in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." She was also nominated for the Tonys for her work in "Wicked" and "On the Twentieth Century."
You may have seen -- or heard -- Chenoweth on TV ("Glee," "Pushing Daisies" and "The West Wing") or in movies ("Stranger Than Fiction" and "The Peanuts Movie").
Chenoweth also sang the national anthem for the Cardinals' season opener in 2016.
Coverage of the Cardinals game begins at 5:30 p.m. Thursday with "Football Night in America," only on 12 News.
