PHOENIX – In a multi-year agreement with the Arizona Cardinals, 12 News has been selected as the official broadcast home of Arizona’s NFL team. From the Hall of Fame game to the Super Bowl, two of the state’s leading brands join forces to bring Cardinals fans the best quality programming all season.

12 News will carry five Cardinals Pre-Season Games, the Hall of Fame Game, the 2018 Super Bowl and the No. 1 primetime show on television -- Sunday Night Football.

This partnership is mutually beneficial for the elevation of both brands. But, more importantly, it benefits Cardinals fans, as 12 News will have exclusive access and provide in-depth reporting on the team. As the Cards win their way to Minneapolis in February, 12 News will be alongside the team covering their journey.

“This is a partnership that aligns two incredibly strong brands in the Cardinals and 12 News,” said Ron Minegar, Cardinals Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. “Fans and viewers will undoubtedly enjoy the enhanced team content and year-round, in-depth coverage that will result from this relationship.”

The Cardinals open the pre-season with an appearance in the Hall of Fame game on Aug. 3 on NBC against the young but talented Cowboys. The next two weeks, they play the Raiders and Bears at University of Phoenix Stadium, both on 12 News.

The last two pre-season games will be on the road as the Cardinals play the first ever game in the new stadium in Atlanta on Aug. 26, and then on to Denver to take on the Broncos, both of which will air on 12 News.

The long-awaited rematch of the epic 2016 season battle between the Cardinals and Seahawks takes center stage on Thursday Night Football Nov. 9 on 12 News. It promises to be a defensive chess match again this season.

“What a great opportunity to partner with the Valley’s leading sports organization, the Arizona Cardinals,” 12 News President and General Manager Dean Ditmer said. ”This ensures that every Cardinals fan will have inside access to the team on the road to the Super Bowl.”
