The impact of running back Adrian Peterson was immediate. In just one drive, he rushed for more yards than any other Cardinals player had in any game the previous five weeks.
Peterson rushed four times for 54 yards, including a 27-yard touchdown to give the Cardinals a 7-0 lead over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
His rushes went for eight yards, eight yards, 11 yards and then the 27-yard score in his four carries.
The Cardinals had averaged only 51 yards per game as a team entering the game. Peterson had 81 yards on 27 carries before this week.
At 32 years old, does this look like a player who is old and washed up?

With the offensive line finally healthy and Peterson running with power and purpose, maybe there is hope for Arizona’s offense, which has struggled all season.
