For many Phoenix Suns fans, Connie Hawkins was a must-watch.
He wowed everyone with his play on the court and endeared those in the Valley with his countless community activities.
The former Suns forward died at the age of 75 earlier this month and the team wanted to make sure they honored their Ring of Honor member this season.
During their games this year, the Suns will wear a jersey patch with Hawkins' nickname "Hawk."
As another tribute to Hawkins, the Suns are hosting a memorial service celebrating his life and legacy. It will take place on Friday, Oct. 20 at 12:30 p.m. at Talking Stick Resort Arena.
The service is open to the public and those interested in attending will find free parking in the arena garage near 1st St. (south of Jefferson Ave).
Doors to the arena will open at noon.
