PHOENIX - A season that began with World Series aspirations ended with the Arizona Diamondbacks owning one of the worst records in baseball.

First baseman Paul Goldschmidt got off to a slow start last season, but regained his All-Star form.

He'd finish the season hitting .297 with 24 home runs and 95 RBI.

12 Sports recently got a chance to sit down with Goldschmidt and talk about what went wrong for the D-Backs a season ago.

Goldschmidt also opened up about his relationship Chip Hale and what went through his mind when he found out the manager had been let go.
