Arizona State University and Adidas unveiled a new football uniform, honoring military and veterans with details honoring Pat Tillman.

The alternative uniforms will be worn Nov. 4, when ASU faces Colorado at Sun Devil Stadium. There will be a special recognition during the game for members of the U.S. Armed Forces and those who have lost loved, ASU said.

The main color of the uniform is the tan color of Army fatigues with maroon and gold accents. The lettering and size was designed to match the 1996 - 1997 ASU football look, when Pat Tillman and ASU went to the Rose Bowl.

The "Brotherhood" uniform also features the names of ASU players and coaches, past an present, who have served or are serving in the U.S. military.

The design also incorporates the phrase, "Give 'em Hell," in several places on the uniform. It's a line from the ASU fight song.

Reaction to the uniform has been very positive.

The uniform was designed in collaboration with the Pat Tillman Foundation, and is a part of ASU's Salute to Service project, helping veteran students and alumni. A portion of sales of this uniform will benefit the Pat Tillman Foundation.

As an ASU football player, Pat Tillman helped the Sun Devils to the 1997 Rose Bowl. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals. He left his football career in 2002 to enlist in the U.S. Army. Tillman was killed in Afghanistan in 2004.
