TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State linebacker Marcus Ball is putting together a nice season in Tempe.

He was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week after putting up a career-high 10 tackles against UCLA last Saturday.

Ball also had an interception in that game.

The linebacker has become known for his bone-crushing hits, and told the media this week that he feeds off physicality.

"I love to hit people," said Ball. "That's what I like to do. I'm a hitter."

"I think it's cool when you hit a guy and look at him, and you don't say anything to him, but he just knows that you just lit him up," Ball continued.

Arizona State's defense has struggled at times this season, having given up nearly 3,000 yards of offense already this season.

Ball, however, has been a bright spot for the Sun Devils.
