TEMPE, Ariz. - The 2017-2018 college football bowl game schedule was announced Sunday and it looks like Arizona State University is heading to El Paso at the end of the month.

The Sun Devils (7-5) will face the North Carolina State Wolfpack (8-4) at the Sun Bowl in El Paso, TX, on Dec. 29.

This will be ASU's sixth time in El Paso playing in the Sun Bowl, and the sixth bowl appearance in seven years.

The Dec. 29 game will also be the last game with head coach Todd Graham, who was fired last weekend after six seasons with the Devils.

The bowl announcement comes in the midst of reports saying former NFL coach and ESPN analyst Herm Edwards is expected to replace Graham.

ASU is 3-1-1 in Sun Bowl appearances, with a tie in 1940 against the Catholic University Cardinals. The last time the Sun Devils played in the El Paso bowl game was in 2014 when they defeated Duke 31-36.
