Since the early days of the internet, GIFs have been part of the World Wide Web.
On June 15, the GIF celebrated its 30th anniversary and Facebook announced some major updates.
The popular social network is now giving users the ability to post GIFs in the comment section of Facebook posts.
People can now use this feature on the site and mobile app to post GIFs when posting responses.
To add a GIF to a Facebook comment, tap the GIF button in the comment section and type whatever GIF you're looking for.
This is another fun way to communicate with friends and family while using the social network.
Facebook recently announced in a blog post that people using their Messenger app sent nearly 13 billion GIFs last year.
That's nearly 25,000 GIFs every minute!
