12 News invited 10 voters into our Phoenix newsroom to break down Tuesday's vice presidential debate with anchor Mark Curtis.

The group discussed Mike Pence's and Tim Kaine's takes on issues ranging from race relations to abortion.

The candidates also spent a fair amount of the debate defending their running mates, and the discussion in our newsroom turned from Tuesday's debate to a broader talk about the election as a whole.

Though Kaine and Pence worked to earn the votes of viewers, none of the panelists said the debate changed who they'd be voting for.

The panel was split on whether or not they cared about Donald Trump not releasing his tax records, a point Clinton and Democrats have been hammering.
