Veterans in Buckeye had a special opportunity this Veterans Day when a mobile memorial made a stop for the holiday.

Veterans and residents gathered to see the AVTT Traveling Vietnam Wall at Earl Edgar Recreational Complex Saturday.

The Traveling Wall is a replica that allows those without the means or ability to travel to national memorial sites, the opportunity to respect and share in the experience of honoring our heroes, the AVTT website reads.

This is not the first time a traveling memorial stopped in Arizona. In August, veterans and their families gathered at Twin Arrows Casino near Flagstaff had the chance to see another replica.

This time, the AVTT wall arrived in Buckeye on Tuesday and it will be on display at the recreational complex until Sunday.
