SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Scottsdale fire and police personnel worked to rescue a man from an SUV that ran through a fence and into a backyard swimming pool Monday evening.

According to Scottsdale FD officials, first responders pulled the elderly disabled man out of the SUV before it was fully submerged on its side in the pool near 110th and Cholla streets.

Fire officials said the man is in stable condition and was taken to a hospital as a precaution. No first responders were injured.

Police have not said what caused the crash.
