PHOENIX - The Arizona Department of Public Safety says a suspect was involved in a four-vehicle crash before being taken into custody Friday morning.

According to DPS, a state trooper saw a car driving erratically on Interstate 10. The car's driver had allegedly fired a gun within the city limits of Casa Grande.

DPS says the trooper attempted to catch up, but there was no pursuit. The trooper eventually lost sight of the suspect.

DPS says the suspect exited I-10 at Baseline Road and collided with cars on the off-ramp. The suspect was taken into custody by Tempe police officers in the area slowing down traffic for construction.

There were no injuries in the crash, DPS says.

The investigation is ongoing.
