PHOENIX- School is out, and the need to find things to curb boredom is urgent. Lucky for you, 12 News is doing what we can to help you out.
The City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation offers a plethora of summer activities to keep you and your kids busy and out of the sun with this dangerous heat.
With the purchase of an annual Phoenix Parks and Recreation Pass, you and the family can enjoy pool days all summer long, as well as access to gyms and game rooms. Day passes are also available, costing $1 for children and $2 for adults. Pass holders can take advantage of pool games and activities such as pool basketball and even swim lessons, or just come to get a tan.
Programs throughout the Valley are for everyone from toddlers to seniors and offer a variety of water sports activities, safety programs and even certification classes.
Whether you head out of town or do a staycation this summer, have fun, but don’t forget the sunscreen and always keep a close watch on children when in and around water.
