PHOENIX (AP) - A runway closure at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport could translate into delays for travelers over the next month.
Airport officials closed the north runway Thursday for construction work in order to harness more power from an APS substation to Terminal 3.
They say the work and closure will last through Nov. 6.
With only two south runways, officials say flights in the early morning and evening could run as much as 30 minutes late.
Travelers and anyone picking up passengers are being advised to plan accordingly.
Terminal 3 is undergoing a revamp that will include a new concourse with restaurants and stores and increased baggage handling capacity.
