PHOENIX - The Phoenix Police Department said a suspect is dead after an officer-involved shooting Friday morning.
According to police, the shooting happened near 75th Avenue and Indian School Road. The burglary suspect was holding a knife and waving it around when officers first arrived.
A Taser was deployed on the suspect three times with no effect, police said.
Police said the suspect charged at officers with the knife. The suspect was shot by police and taken to a hospital where he died.
No officers were injured.
A folding knife was recovered at the scene.
