SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Scottsdale police arrested an 18-year-old Coronado High School student Wednesday after school resource officers alerted police to one of his recent social media posts.

In the post, Fabian A. Delgado was holding what appeared to be an assault rifle with the caption, "Don't go to school tomorrow," police said.

Officers interviewed Delgado about the post and his intentions.

According to police, it was determined that the weapon in the post was an Airsoft rifle, not an actual assault weapon.

Police said Delgado told them he had no intentions of committing any violence toward students or school officials.

Delgado was arrested for disorderly conduct charges, as the post he created and distributed resulted in the disruption of the school environment, police said.
