Police: 3-year-old ejected in fatal crash ‘likely not’ in car seat

Firefighters said there was a total of five patients, two of them children.

PHOENIX - A 3-year-old boy is dead after a crash in Phoenix involving five people, according to Phoenix police.

Phoenix fire crews were on the scene of a crash involving a SUV and a Honda at 18th Street and Greenway Parkway Monday night.

Firefighters said there was a total of five patients, two of them children.

Unfortunately, one of the pediatric patients, a 3-year-old boy, was transferred to a hospital but was later pronounced dead, police said. The boy has been identified as Noah Perry.

The other child, a 6-year-old girl, is in extremely critical condition.

One of the adults, a 33-year-old female, is in critical but stable condition, according to Phoenix police. The other two adults have non -life-threatening injuries.

All passengers except the driver of the SUV were ejected upon impact. Phoenix Police confirmed they are investigating whether the driver of the vehicle with the children inside was impaired.

Sgt. Vince Lewis with Phoenix PD said based on the ejections, both children were "likely not" in car seats.
