Police are investigating the shooting of a 4-year-old boy in north Phoenix Monday night.
The boy has been taken to a hospital from a home near 19th Avenue and Cactus Road.
According to Phoenix PD, the shooting was initially reported as self-inflicted, but police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The boy is expected to survive.
