If you feel like the beginning of 2018 has been a little toastier than normal, you are right.

The National Weather Service in Phoenix sent out a tweet Tuesday morning showing where the Valley’s hot start ranks historically.

According to the tweet, through Feb. 4, Phoenix is off to the second-warmest start since 1896.

The average overall temperature of 61.6 degrees during that span is only bested by the temperature of 61.9 degrees set back in 2003.

We'll have to see if this warm trend continues the rest of the year.
