TOLLESON, Ariz. - A 3-year-old boy has died from drowning in a pool at a Tolleson home, Phoenix Fire Department said.
Fire and police crews responded just after 3 p.m. Sunday to a house near Lower Buckeye Road and 87th Avenue.
According to Phoenix fire, the crews found the child on the side of the pool and a Phoenix police officer immediately began CPR. Medics with Phoenix fire arrived on scene shortly after and began Advanced Life Support measures.
Phoenix fire transported the 3-year-old boy to the nearest hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is ongoing.
