PHOENIX - Don’t want to get up to go on a Target run? Pretty soon, you might not have to.

Membership-based online grocery marketplace Shipt announced that it will begin same-day delivery from Target stores across 12 Southwest cities, including the Phoenix metro area.

The delivery takes as little as an hour, according to the press release.

The service starts on Thursday, Feb. 15.

To celebrate the addition of Target to its online marketplace, Shipt is lowering membership fees for those who sign up early. Typically, a Shipt membership costs $99 per year, but members who sign up prior to the launch will receive an annual membership for $49.

Target plans to offer same-day delivery of in-store products from a majority of their stores by the 2018 holiday season.
