PHOENIX (AP) - A 67-year-old man previously convicted of perjury and attempted witness tampering in a homicide case has pleaded not guilty to stalking a Maricopa County prosecutor.
Albert Heitzmann entered his plea Thursday to charges accusing him of violating court orders twice in September by being in the same courtroom as the prosecutor. Heitzmann also is accused of having a rifle in his home.
Heitzmann said during a recent court appearance that he didn't commit the crimes.
He was convicted of felony perjury in 2007 for lying while testifying during a trial. He also was convicted of attempted witness tampering in the same case.
