TEMPE, Ariz. - The man being questioned in connection to Valley teacher Cathryn Gorospe's disappearance is facing new charges involving a carjacking on Sunday.

Police responded to a carjacking near Rural Road and Apache Boulevard around 10 p.m. Sunday. Police said Charlin Malzahn threatened the victim with a crowbar, took the victim's keys and fled.

The car was found nearby without the suspect, police said.
