PHOENIX - Maricopa County Animal Care and Control said they have a unique visitor at the West Valley location.

Big Jack is a 2-year-old domestic shorthair cat weighing 30 pounds. MCACC said Jack is "friendly, sweet and just a cool cat."

According to MCACC, the cat was brought to the county shelter when his owner unexpectedly died.

Though Jack is loveable, MCACC said he "desperately" needs to shed some pounds.

Jack found a new home on Thursday, according to MCACC.

MCACC's West Valley location is near 27th Avenue and Durango Street. You can find more information on MCACC's website.
