PHOENIX - The first ever Lost Lake Festival kicked off to a great start Friday night. Crowds of people arrived by the hour, most of them ready to watch Chance the Rapper.
Safety was at the top of the priority list for event organizers. Officers were out in full force, making their presence known. All this was part of heavy security measures being used to manage tens of thousands of people ready to watch their favorite artists.
Along with the entertainment, there is also a giant playground, food stands and artwork.
Clay Halling is an artist and was painting on one of multiple walls that decorated Steele Indian School Parl.
The festival will continue through Sunday. Saturday is expected to be one of the busier days, with the Killers scheduled to go on stage.
