PHOENIX - A year after Autobots and Decepticons took over Loop 303, the Valley has hit the big screen in its “Transformers” debut.

The stretch of highway makes an explosive appearance in the latest installment of the movie franchise, “Transformers: The Last Knight.”

The summer blockbuster starring Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel and Anthony Hopkins was released in theaters earlier in June.

You might remember Loop 303 between Interstate 17 and Lake Pleasant Parkway was shut down in June last year for filming – which took longer than expected.
