PHOENIX - Amazon announced it is creating more than 120,000 seasonal positions for the holidays this year.
According to the release, Arizona is one of the 27 states where you can apply for a seasonal position, with 7,500 positions available.
The new employees will help pick, pack and ship customers’ holiday orders at Amazon’s network of fulfillment centers, sortation centers and customer service sites.
Last year, 14,000 seasonal employees stayed on in regular, full-time positions. Amazon expects to increase that number this year, according to the release.
The seasonal positions in Arizona include part-time sortation associates paid at $11.50 per hour.
