GLENDALE, Ariz. - Police said an officer shot a man who pulled a gun and start firing during a fight Friday afternoon.

The shot suspect has been taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. He is in custody.

The officer was responding to a different incident and saw four men fighting near Bethany Home Road and 67th Avenue.

One of the men pulled out a gun and started shooting, so the officer stopped and intervened. Two men were taken to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries.

A third was found dead in a nearby backyard after taking off in a car and crashing into a house. He was shot in the exchange.

Police have not identified the suspect or the other men in the argument.

They did not say who was shot by the officer or who was shot by the suspect.
