TONOPAH, Ariz. - A fatal collision shut down I-10 at mile marker 99 early Monday morning.
DPS said the crash occurred around 2 a.m.
A semi-truck rear-ended a pickup truck pushing the pickup off the side of the road.
The driver of the pickup was ejected from the vehicle and died. DPS said he hasn't been identified.
The pickup truck then caught fire.
Inside the semi-truck were a driver and passenger. The driver was transported to a nearby Buckeye hospital with chest complications.
The passenger is OK.
One lane to I-10 reopened around 4:30 a.m.
