PHOENIX - One person is dead and three more are injured after a drive-by shooting interrupted a party in west Phoenix early Sunday morning.
Phoenix Police Department said the shooting happened just before 2 a.m. in a neighborhood near 99th and Campbell avenues.
A 19-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the hospital around 8 a.m. Sunday. The other victims, a 20-year-old man, and a 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man, are all recovering at local hospitals.
All four victims were at the party, police said. One victim is in critical condition and two more are recovering from serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
Witnesses told police that a group of men and women were involved in a fight at the party and were asked to leave minutes before the shooting occurred.
Police said shortly after those people were asked to leave, an unknown suspect drove by the party and shot numerous times.
At this time, there is no viable suspect description and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
