SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - A new bike share company will soon be riding around in Scottsdale.
LimeBike says to expect to see its bright green bicycles in Scottsdale by mid-November. The bike share is "dockless," meaning riders can park the bikes anywhere.
This will be the first dockless bike share in Arizona and it will compete with the Grid Bike Share (also bright green bikes) already in use across the Valley.
The company recently announced launches in Los Angeles and Charlotte, as well.
LimeBike is currently in 11 cities, including San Francisco, Dallas, Washington D.C. and Seattle. Since riders can park the bikes anywhere, people in Seattle have documented hilarious parking jobs for the bike-share bikes.
According to the bike share's website, LimeBike’s rides cost just $1 per 30-minute time block, and students pay only 50 cents per time block.
