Crews put out Phoenix house fire

Firefighters said two adults and three children who were home at the time were able to get out unharmed when they smelled the smoke.

PHOENIX — Fire crews responded to reports of a dryer that started on fire near Highland Avenue and 12th Street Wednesday night. 

When firefighters arrived, they found fire in the rear home of a subdivided lot.

Firefighters said two adults and three children who were home at the time were able to get out unharmed when they smelled the smoke.

Crews were able to quickly control the fire and prevent extension.

No firefighters were injured during the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
