PHOENIX - The Maricopa County Fair is taking place at the Arizona Fairgrounds near 19th Ave. and McDowell Rd.

Some of the new attractions

• Great American High Dive featuring the Human Torch – Comedic performers free fall dive from 80' into a shallow pool of water. The Great American High dive delivers three exciting shows per day.

• Nancy Riegler and Blue Bear-y Bear – A strolling attraction with an adorable character in a meticulously restored miniature replica of the Model T.

• Steve’s Fun Balloons – Fun and fabulous balloon artist.

• Meet Peppa Pig -- Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday only.

Other fun events include 

• Easter Bunny visits and free photos – Sunday only.

• Easter Egg Hunts - Sunday. $3,000 top prize in adult category along with two $1,000 prizes and 40 $50 prizes for a total of $5,000 cash prizes. Top prize for the two kid’s categories is a bike (one for each group).

• Godfrey the Magician - Be mystified and amazed with master magician Terry Godfrey. The show is filled with comedy, fantastic magic and audience participation. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.

• Shawn Eric – Exciting and expert magician. Saturday, April 15.

• Farm Tours - Children learn about life on a farm through this interactive display. They see live farm animals, tractors and other farm equipment 

• 39 Rides brought to you by Butler Amusements, including Spin Out, Vertigo, Zillerator Coaster, Giant Scooters, and the all NEW Big Top

• The Safety Zone presented by SRP

Livestock Auctions

• Over 400 blue ribbon large stock auction begins Saturday, April 15 at 9 a.m. in the Agriculture Center – 2016 auction generated close to $1.2 million!

• 125 blue ribbon small stock auction starts Friday, April 14 at 7 p.m. in the Home Arts Building.
