PHOENIX - Maricopa County Animal Care and Control announced Wednesday a special puppy is ready to be adopted.
The dog is not just any dog though. It is BB Bear, a resilient pup who recovered after suffering injuries veterinarians thought would end his life.
BB Bear was brought into MCACC's shelter with a massive skull fracture in October. In the time since, he's gone through a medically induced coma and continued to recover from his injuries, all while capturing the hearts of Valley residents following his journey on social media.
Since the dog has gathered a lot of interest, the Arizona Animal Rescue Mission, who will be in charge of finding the right home for the dog, has some special instructions to complete the adoption process.
The rescue mission is asking those interested in adopting BB Bear to answer these questions.
1. Why will you and your family make the best home for BB Bear?
2. BB Bear will require a lot of medical care. How will your family be capable of handing those expenses?
3. What touched you about this story and what are you thankful for this holiday season?
Arizona Animal Rescue Mission said only Arizona residents can apply, and the first 50 responses will be considered.
BB Bear's adoption fee is $150. The organization asks those interested in taking BB Bear into their home to submit their answers by Friday, Dec. 1 to email@example.com.
