SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Scottsdale police have released 911 calls related to a February shooting in which a woman allegedly shot her live-in boyfriend in the groin.
Delia Flores, 53, is accused of shooting her boyfriend three times in the genitals, and four time in various other parts of his body, including his neck. She allegedly told police she shot him because she believed he was having an affair.
The 911 call shows Flores was calm, telling the dispatcher she didn't know what had happened, and that her boyfriend had simply asked her to call 911 for an ambulance.
The victim in the shooting told the 911 dispatcher he was asleep and only woke up when he was hit by gunfire. At the time, he told the dispatcher he believed one of his guns had simply gone off, or that he had been sitting on it.
According to court paperwork, investigators found a receipt for the gun, which was a different calibre than the victim's guns, a receipt for ammunition and for training at a gun range in Flores's bags.
She's been charged with attempted first-degree murder and is being held on $750,000 bond.
