PHOENIX - Two brothers were hit by a car and killed in northeast Phoenix Friday night, according to Phoenix police.

The 17- and 15-year-old boys were hit near Tatum and Shea boulevards while they were fighting in the street, witnesses told police.

The 15-year-old was taken to a nearby trauma center in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead.

The teens have been identified as Roger Gamez-Rodriguez, 15, and Iran Gamez, 17.

The driver of the car stayed at the scene, police said.

Police are investigating the crash.
