PHOENIX - The FBI and Bank Robbery Task Force responded to a robbery at a Chase bank near 19th Avenue and Van Buren Street just before noon on Saturday.
According to the FBI, the suspect passed a note to a bank teller demanding money and threatening to use a weapon. About 15 people, including tellers, were in the bank at the time of the incident.
Police arrived within one minute of the emergency call, the FBI said. Roads in the area were closed as officers respond, but the closures are now lifted.
No injuries were reported and the suspect was arrested without incident, no weapon was found, according to the FBI.
