FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Flagstaff police say a student at Mount Elden Middle School threatened to shoot up the school in a post on Snapchat.

A couple schools sheltered in place Thursday as a precaution while police investigated the threat, Flagstaff Sgt. Cory Runge said in a release.

Once investigators identified the student, they interviewed him before releasing him to a parent. Police say the student did not have access to firearms and the school grounds were searched.
