After a mostly quiet engagement, Meghan McCain and Ben Domenech have officially tied the knot.
The bride's representative, Teal Cannaday, confirmed to USA TODAY that the couple wed Tuesday at the McCain family lodge in Sedona, Ariz. People was first to report the news.
"#AlmostTime," McCain posted on Instagram earlier in the afternoon, with a photo of a pair of slippers embroidered "I" and "do."
The nuptials took place three weeks after McCain, 33, the new co-host on The View and daughter of Republican U.S. Sen. John McCain, addressed engagement rumors on her show.
Her plan to walk down the aisle with conservative pundit Domenech "was a secret," she said. "I was hoping people wouldn't find out, but people talk."
She said the proposal and engagement weren't "the most romantic." Why? "Well, we were at Mayo Clinic and my father had his scan," she explained. "And we got engaged because we decided to sort of celebrate life and celebrate being alive."
Sen. McCain revealed in September that doctors gave him a "poor prognosis" in his fight with brain cancer. The senator wrote on Twitter earlier this month that he's "so happy" and "thrilled" to welcome Domenech into the family. He gave his daughter away at the wedding ceremony.
